A SoftwareAG API Gateway, specifically referred to as “webMethods API Gateway”, is a software solution provided by Software AG that allows organizations to securely expose their backend services as APIs to external developers, partners, and other applications, enabling them to manage access, security, and monitoring of these APIs through a dedicated user interface; essentially acting as a central point of control for API interactions within an organization.

Software AG Command Central
Software AG Command Central is a tool that enables you to install, patch, configure, manage, and upgrade Software AG products; create database components; and connect products to database components, remotely from one location. Command Central offers a browser-based user interface.

When you submit requests for actions against a product installation, Command Central directs the requests to the Platform Manager in that installation, and the Platform Manager executes the action. Platform Manager is always the same release as the products.
